Clik here to view.Manila, Philippines (4E) – Thousands were displaced in Mindanao, Philippines as flash floods brought about by tropical depression in the Philippines.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Tuesday, low lying towns in the provinces of Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, North Cotabato, Maguindanao and Davao del Norte were flooded due to continuous heavy downpour caused by Tropical Depression Emong.
With this, a day after heavy rains triggered floods in Metro Manila, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned that more rains brought by an enhanced southwest monsoon are expected until this weekend.
More rains are also expected until Friday since Tropical Depression Emong will enhance the southwest monsoon as it moves north in the next three days.
