GMA-7 talents and officials were summoned by the MTRCB due to a segment what they believed “discriminatory and derogatory portrayal of a woman” in the November 29 episode of “Bubble Gang.”
During the segment, comedian Rufa Mae Quinto showed how to make a puto bumbong that “gave the impression that she was simulating “male self-abuse.” The controversial segment “D’ Adventures of Susie Luwalhati” aired week after the MTRCB called their attention.
“It appears that the segment stereo-typically portrayed a woman as an object of rather frivolous, albeit carnal, delight. When women are treated as commodities, they are disrespected and degraded,” a post on MTRCB’s Twitter account read.

According to the Board, the theme of the said segment was beyond the show’s set parameters – sensitive theme and language – based on the indicators of its SPG pictogram.
The seminar, held on Monday, was lead by Atty. Noel Prado together with Board members Jay Revistir and Marra Lanot. While on the gag show’s side, the attendees were GMA Program Manager Bang Arespacochaga, Bubble gang director Uro dela Cruz and the show’s actors Michael V and Rufa Mae.
