WANTED: Janet Napoles, REWARD: 10 Million Pesos
Philippine President Benigno Aquino III has announced that the government is offering a P10 Million reward for any information that will lead to the arrest of fugitive businesswoman and alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.
The announcement was made during the press conference at the 8th East Asia Conference on Competition Law and Policy at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza on Wednesday, August 28. Pnoy put up the bounty after three yachts allegedly owned by Napoles reported missing by the Bureau of Immigration.
Napoles and her brother Reynald “Jojo” Lim were ordered arrested on August 14 by a Makati court on charges they illegally detained their cousin-turned-whistleblower Benhur Luy, a former longtime assistant of Janet Napoles.
